Carla Caria – Fashion and Textile Designer

Carla Caria, a designer based in Milan, is recognized for her work at Florania, a genderless fashion brand. Her focus on sustainability and innovative textiles positions her at the forefront of responsible fashion design. Carla integrates materials like recycled denim and marble powder into her collections, challenging conventional methods with sustainable alternatives.

Salvatore Vignola – Fashion Designer

Salvatore Vignola is known for his modern approach to traditional craftsmanship. His collections blend historical references with contemporary aesthetics, making him a key figure in the future of Italian fashion.

Both winners will take part in a six month residency in Sweden, where they will each collaborate with a selected brand from the Association of Swedish Fashion Brands (ASFB), focusing on sustainable practices and creative exchange. This prize not only strengthens the bond between our two countries but also provides a unique platform for emerging designers to collaborate across borders and further push the boundaries of fashion.

As part of their award, the winners will have their accommodations, salary, and transportation fully covered by the prize, ensuring that they can focus entirely on their creative collaboration with Swedish brands during their residency.
